Lockdown Day 1

Welcome to Lockdown Day 1.

Today I have relaxed I have slept in till 12 then up dressed and had breakfast and a coffee before a light lunch. We did our breathing exercises at lunch and took a visual holiday exporting ourselves to a different place. Today it was the beach and i had my feet in the sand, and was kicking about, feeling the grains of sand on my feet. The depth of the sand the colour so vibrant, and a heavy feeling all around my feet and toes, i would try and emerge from the sand and literally be buried underneath my feet non-existent. this is something I have done time and time again at the beach and now I am doing so in my visual holiday and using my imagination.

After lunch I focussed on my paint by numbers activity so that was a bit of time used up, I have a love hate relationship with my paint by numbers as it looks like a mess but in the end hopefully all the colours will blend in and it will come together, for now it only looks good when you look at it from a distance. It seems to be a big mess up close, not to mention so fiddly the numbers are hard to see and its very hard to keep within the constraints of the lines, and the patterns of colour you are trying to create.

Been playing with the animals too today, Took Pablo out for a walk around the garden and been playing with smudge the kitten, and giving her a bit of time, molly the mop she makes me laugh she's a persian and she honestly could be a mop if you add a handle, she has so much fur. the other animals are my bed companions and keep me company.

I really must learn during these four weeks, I must learn to just sit and do nothing too, theres a point to that in this isolation period it is time to rest as well as do activities, to keep your mind busy and focussed.

You can write a list of activities that you would like to do in this period of isolation around the home. and work through them systematically.
also implementing them every day into your schedule. Ive started to do this with the paint by numbers i was engaged in that activity yesterday and made it part of my day today.

whether you want to develop a schedule of how to occupy your time during this isolation period that is up to you it can be helpful to stick to a routine. Helps you know what your doing when and cope with the quiet moments of the day.

For example Monday to Sunday and plan activities for every day..
this includes nominated time for movies, netflix, tv, music, and googling, and internet time, facebook, messenger, twitter. instagram.
Nominated times to catch up with friends and family socially online.

This is a way of getting organised.

Nominated PJ DAYS.....

Or none at all clothes systematically everyday to keep in a good routine.

It helps to just take time back and consider whats important to you and what you want to see in your lockdown routine. We are in a forced lockdown so we have no choice but to go with it and that means make it as entertaining and fun as possible. don't forget your sense of humour...

Taking time to See whats new on netflix, what tv series are available to watch and get engrossed in, same with movies, make a list of what you want to watch and get to it.....
Make it time to engage, to get engrossed. and to just be exported away into another place for a time. because thats what a good tv series does or a movie does, takes us away to another place and lets us live life in someone elses shoes for a while. Laugh, cry, suspense.
the drama of it all, the comedy,  the romance.

Same with music export yourself with songs and find new and interesting artists to listen to, I did that the other day and went through some past contestants of American idol and looked them up and listened to some of their music,

Ive made a note of Artists I would like to hear again, Ive also taken time to develop different playlists and this is something I am systematically working on.
On different topics, different emotions projected in different songs, different artists.
Its a powerful way to get out your feelings through music and feel what the artist is feeling you can relate to that in your own life and for that few moments you are engrossed in the song in the emotions  portrayed. Of course songs can be on repeat as well...

connect with an artist and off you go on your exploratory adventure of capturing music for you to treasure and love.

When we are in isolation we need to think outside the box

what are things you want to learn more about, what are topics, you want to explore. things you want to google, terms that you want to have explained.
plenty of time to google....

to use pintrest as well and get some ideas for round the house.

Call Isolation time for me!

time to put me first and do what I want to do for the next 4 weeks in my home only..
a walk is ok as long as its solitary,

thats enough from me for a while.

talk later
